I was just wondering FELA'S CONCERT on COOL TV here in Canada and I was just wondering would he really be celebrated if he was from a humble background, and didnt study Music abroad but in some other institution right in Nigeria.
Would he really have gotten away with all the government negativity he's been bringing in? Would he have been very popular if he was started off as someone's background singer and not Mrs Kuti's son?
And would Femi Kuti ever be recognized if his father wasn't the great FELA? Its like we love Femi mainly because he's living his father's legacy and we feel we have let Fela down.

One thing I can say is Fela had only one good thing about him, his outspokenness. Apart from that, he was a menace to society, young generation and all sorts of mannerism

HE SUFFERED SO MUCH FOR THAT AND IT ALMOST COST HIM HIS LIFE, SO HE DIDN’T REALLY GET AWAY, HE WAS JUST LUCKY.

YES HE WOULD BECAUSE HIS MOTHER HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IDOL STATUS LOTSA PEEPS DON’T EVEN KNOW HIS MUM

NOT ONE BIT. FEMI IS IN A TOTALLY DIFFERENT CLASS. THE INTERNATIONAL FAME HE HAS WAS ACHIEVED BY HIS OWN SWEAT AND HANDWORK. HARDCORE FELA FANS DON’T CONSIDER HIS WORKS ANYTHING LIKE FELA’S EVEN IN NIGERIA HARDCORE FELA FANS WOULD RATHER GO TO A “SEUN” (FELA’S LAST BORN) CONCERT THAN A FEMI’S… THEY DON’T SEE FEMI AS THE ONE KEEPING FELA’S LEGACY, BUT SEUN
