So, I like food, I am not picky, I eat according to my mood. When I am hungry, I am hungry! And a pot of rice can disappear into my abunna!
When I am not hungry, I can drink orange juice all day!
But when I want naija food, I want naija food!
Like last 4th of July weekend, I felt like eating Isi-ewu and palm wine, and I cooked the isi-ewu! On impulse, I did the african salad (tapioca and ugba!).
need I say my place smelled like abatoir for hours?! naija food can smell!!!!
I leave all my windows open when I cook.
But hey, we aint that bad. Have you been where an indian is cooking? Or Mexican? then you know that Ogiri (dawadawa) smells gooood!

On Monday morning, I made me thick Akamu, fried eggs (w/tomatoes and onions) and Fried Dodo! When I finished, I dragged myself round the house.
Wow! To think I used to eat all that back home in naija as regular meal!

Am I fat?! I wish! No matter what I eat, some little imps at night steal them! Wish I had me some rotund chest and ikebe, you know. ;)
Tell me, what's the best naija food you have ever been able to cook from all the dry stuff we buy in African stores here?

There was sometime about two weeks ago when i felt like eating okro. I went as far as going to an afro shop even though i was tired dat day. I bought some ready-to-eat prawns, ready-made smoked mackerel. And i did 'alasepo' with them all. :p Dammmmmn, i just made me some amala straight & i felt good later.

My mama made some jollof rice y'day too. Cos the weather wasn't good at all y'day evening & i had to wait so long for the bus to come, by the time i got home i was so tired & cold, i just wanted to eat & i could smell the aroma of the rice & tomato puree, dammnnnn, I just went straight to the pot. :p :)
