wow talk about nostalgia..

I grew up in Kano and ate all sorts of things and barely got sick. Talk about tsamia( picked up st8 from the ground ), agbalomo with worm inside (yes worm), kunu, and other things I cant remember right now. Its amazing how we whatever and were still ok. Going back , you cant even try it.

The last time I went to Kano and drank water eh, my stomach suffer no be small!

Growing up in Sabon Gari,Kano Fura de nono was a regular for me and my sisters.I was always sick from one contermination or the other back then.
Last time i visited sokoto-few weeks ago-i saw fura being mixed with pure gutter sorry,pure water and i couldn't even stand the sight.I still dey miss de thing sha.
Walahi,mutum Arewa su na de abinci fa.Tuwon dawa,tuwon shinkafa,rogo de yaji are just instances.

Its incredible how we survived. Can you picture how dey slaughter and sell meat in the market place, with all the flies, right beside the "gutter"?

"pure gutter"...lol.

I remember flies were just every where especially around the meat in Sabon Gari..jeez

As per the Fura, this last Feb, I went to Kano and you can get some good Fura at Mr. BIGSS in a bottle...

I heard that if you 'wrap your baby up in plastic' to prevent it from efa touching dirt na that baby go sick pass. Pikin most eat dirt & play in dirt to have a good immune system. We are blessed in Naija o!
