she deserves it!!!
her entry into Nollywood changed the movie scene in Nigeria and Africa and the whole world as a whole!

People hate her, I guess it a 'trend' for successful people to be hated by those who envy and/or are jealous of them!

You go girl!! I hope someone in Hollywood sends you a script soon.

Yes I heard about it and its true coz I was with one of the Nollywood producers when her manager asked for some clips of her in a yet to be released film. And why not? Why do we think we are not good enough? I say to Gennny, 'you go, Girl!'

What is the barometer for measuring "falling into" the category?
I wonder O!

A girl that almost all Africans (home and abroad) know from movies does NOT qualify?

Some of the women Oprah listed in her 'Women Around the Globe' are not SUPER stars either!

Abeg, down with the hatings already!

No matter what, Genevieve Nnaji QUALIFY to be on Oprah's famous women! Do you know how many girls turned to Nollywood when she became popular? before her, we had just the much more older ladies like Liz benson, Clarion Chukwurah, Ego Boyo, Eucharia, Ngozi etc.....and knowing that naija movies are watched all over Africa and Carribeans, ...haba!!!! I weak for people O!
So, who should be on that list from Africa to Oprah?

You see, Genevieve may not be the best actress in Nollywood, it is the hatred and envy and stories that have been attached to her that made her more famous! Exactly why thet say in the entertainment industry that all publicity is good publicity as long as they spell your name right!

FYI: She is not my friend, I dont know her, i have only met her at the 30days premiere in MD, but let the truth be told as it is!! Dammit! People should leave that girl alone! I dont even want to imagine what her life is like having to deal with people and their hatings daily!

Dang! I need me some more haters!!!! lol

Rudy darling, you miss ya bus to the Asylum yesterday? Why?!

Nna, talk true, anytime Genny name is mentioned here, it runs into pages! You see how this news of her on Oprah never pass 15 posts?
na simple hating! Gbam!

me, I no know her, she no be my friend, na as I see I talk.

the babe deserve to be on Oprah! Even more than some other popular Nolly actresses! Simply because she get scandals and negative stories following her, but have you noticed that she still somehow carries herself high and keep it moving? For that I respect her! And I can see her sitting across from Oprah, the coach and set would make her look real good.

Rudy dear, i am tired of naija peopel being so negative and mean, when I expected hailings and praises for the girl, peopel are thinking she doesnt deserve it!

I cannot confirm it, since it has not be publicized. I don't think she was a in studio guest. We would have DEFINITLY heard about that when it was taped..

What most likely is going to happen is that they will show a profile of her answering some questions about being famous in Africa. Now, when that happens, you can't be positive if your piece will even make the show... Maybe that's why there was not a lot of publicity about it.

Either way it is really cool!
