"Half of a Yellow Sun, the Screen adaptation of the acclaimed novel, by Nigerian author Chimamanda Adichie, which was billed to make its African debut as the opening movie of the 3rd Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF), has been withdrawn from the programme. The executive producers made the decision not to show the film and withdrew the film last week. The festival Directors are shocked by this decision, however the opening of the programme will now be replaced by another big film."

At least you can't blame that on Nnaji. With her little role, her duty was to attract people's attention to the film with her gravitas. The whole world is standing at attention now. Mission accomplished.
