  You sound really angry oh!!! Not to worry Angela81 its nothing as serious as you make of it.... All I asked was for you to be careful of what your spew from your mouth

Emem has been making her kind of movies..... Has it or hasn't been working for her?? Do you think it will stop anytime soon cause the bar has been raised!??? I don't think it stops anytime soon cause she does movies the average Nigerian understands and these people are the larger population. Even Sheila has an audience she holds captive!....
Not a fan of either but they're really doing well in their league

Leila is a brilliant woman writing emotional stories too..... The possible difference between her and Emem Isong is she writes character driven stories (as you may put it)..... The obvious is she hasn't been tested in the market!!! Beware how you put down what's moving in the market for what's not in. The bar has been raised but the business is still open for those who have been in it.....

I can't pull Leila down..... I'm not her creator, I don't have the energy of hate and don't have the mindset either...... Its when I read your post I remember to "make jest of her" cause your reaction sort of gives me an orgasmic feeling :roll. You preach against pulling hardwork down, you are guilty of same thingy too.....

    My review:

Work shy party animal Olumide is employed as the managing director for his mother’s company, Da Costa holdings. His mother fears that he is following his reckless father’s footsteps and worries hugely about his future, as she knows that she is terminally ill and will not always be around to look after him. A charity benefit brings an ambitious young lady to Olumide’s mother’s attention. They build up a great rapport and after inviting her in for an interview she is made finance director. The company’s purse strings are tightened and lavish spenders Olumide and his calculating girlfriend Sabina start to resent the new finance director for questioning the way that they extravagantly blow the company’s money. Olumide concocts a plan to ensure that he has full control of his mother’s money that goes so horribly wrong.

I had a good feeling about this movie as soon as I started watching. I loved the way it started. The music alone encouraged me to keep watching, as it was upbeat and elements of drama with it starting in a club brawl were there immediately. The cinematography was excellent. Practically every frame seemed well planned out. The sound too was good for the most part, however at the beginning of the movie I noticed that sometimes the speech seemed off sync and not natural as if it were very obviously dubbed over.
There were some brilliant shots where the front was sharp and background blurred where the focus would then change to sharpen the background and blur the forefront. That was a very smooth and effective way to highlight what was important. I also noticed that some scenes had a black and white background with colour in the forefront and some all colour. I didn’t catch onto the significance of that although I am pretty sure there must have been some meaning behind it.

I had a difficult time telling Bursting Out apart from Silent Scandals. It had the same leads in a very similar situation. Thank goodness for supporting actors.

Thanks Beautiful Soul! I just finished watching it as per your recommendation...
I loved it... I did not hit the fast forward button not even once...This has not happened with a Nigerian movie for a long long long time..
I found it engaging and emotional wrenching...I was sniffling by the time I was half way through the 2nd part..
Hope's cousin was a Razz character ...I liked her acting, and look forward to seeing her in more movies..
I loved the music...the sound was better than most, not excellent but a definite improvement...the scenes ran smoothly, not the one Na one hour just to answer phone or drink water
Desmond showed why he was once a good actor...he drew me into his emotions...from anger to pain to Joy..
I was so glad Uche didn't get to scream, not even once.... I didn't hear her say 'Oh my God' so many times ...
The only thing I didn't like about the movie was Uche's lace wig...sorry I had to go there...it was so distracting and not in a good way..
All in all... It was a good movie...About to watch again..

so i just finished watching holding hope and i also just finished wiping the tears off my eyes. Acting was excellent.i got to see Nadia in a different role,Uche Jombo was good, and i looved her cousin" if na me, i for done kill you, cut your body into pieces and throw some on the bridge and some on the road, dem no go see any trace of you" ...lol.....crazy girl
Honestly Desmond was very real, when he's not screaming,He's a superb actor. He also played his romantic role excellently well. Not a perfect movie at all, but it had a very very strong message.

I cried and cried when you know what... Enjoyed the movie and the character Uche was a good addition to bring in some humor to an already emotional charged movie. Some misses here and there but overall they did well.

Iroko TV na my new zip code and am loving it from anywhere and everywhere.

Was it just me that found the sound in this movie a bit dodgy? It wasn't too bad but it sounded like they definitely enhanced the voices...it was so unreal. Otherwise, I enjoyed the movie, I don't ever cry for movies, especially not Nollywood, but this one brought me to tears at some point.

Me too, it felt kinda weird especially for Rukky n Nadia they sounding kinda off. I think they did some voice overs in the studio or the microphone was having issues. It was a good movie and yes i cried too!!!
