Sorry so late. I had to go out of town. TCM is Turner Classic Movies.
The chemistry of Bachchan and Hema Malini
Even in the autumn of their lives, the onscreen charisma of Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini has not withered.
Middle-aged couples never had much footage in Bollywood flicks until Bachchan and Hema set the trend with their emotion-filled portrayal of elderly couples in films like Baghban and Veer Zaara .
In the prime of their lives Amitabh and Hema starred together in a number of films including Desh Premi, Naseeb and Kasauti. But Big B claims that the chemistry between them was never so much for real as recently in the twilight of their careers.
They were terrific together in Bhagban and Veer-Zara.
Yeah, they're so cute together, I used to want them to be married.......but oh well, she looks good with Darmendra anywayz. Can't wait to see their other upcoming movies
If you watch Indian movies, you're supporting there cast system in which promotes the idea of that blacks are the lowest from of human, and thus allowed to be treated like crap, and to mix with us is unbelievable bad karma. Ever notice how most of the Bollywood actors, and almost all of the actresses are like white as snow, yet in reality few Indians actually look like that?? Indians are racist as hell.
You do generalise a lot, don't you?
So now the general aka the dictator aka bad boy for LIFE, is also into Indian women. Whatever happened to the Oriental chicks hah? What's up with that the dictator. you cannot be moving from one chick to the other now?
Did you say Monsoon wedding? That was my favorite and also the last Indian movie I watched at the cinema over here in the US. It was a bit Americanized but it was still very funny and very well performed. I think, the last one I watched before that one was in Saudi Arabia called "disco dancer" and pleeeeeeeeeeease do not ask me how we manage to get away and watch that disco stuff in Saudi of all places...we probably did so hiding under the table....
Oh ma Gaaaaawd, I was so in love with the actor in "disco dancer" ....With Indians and their movies, I hear say that, they only select the beautiful ones for most of their lead roles or so...Nevertheless, I think they still do a good job. These days, I am so much into African movies that watching their movies is totally out of question...but someone tell me a good one and i will watch.
Benin, benin now, I am feeling you but arent you going a bit too far sis?
Yep, some Indians are racist even worse than the whites as well as the Chinese and so forth from where I sit, but all the same, you cannot say that watching Indian movies is only supporting the cast system in which promotes the idea of that blacks are the lowest form of human....how on earth did you come to that conclusion? If some of them have treated us badly, or disrespected us, we still cannot hold all of them accountable. There are still some nice and honest ones among them.
When the law of an eye for an eye operates, all the people will end up blind ooo. :sport-smi
No, I don't think that I'm going too far, and I am not a female.
Excuse me for thinking you were a female. I just saw your response to Obariba on another thread regarding how some Africans feel about the so called "akatas' aka "slaves" (their words...and not mine)...and it only makes me wonder how you feel to be treated that way...are they also going too far?
lol, my sister just ignore.
Phantom!!!!!! I missed you
Same here... I missed me too! lol, just kidding. Missed you too, hun.
Have you seen any Hindi movies lately? I've had WAQT for a while but the yeye DVD has scrolling ads ("if you want this ringtone go to www.erosentertainment.com"). They are so annoying!
I haven't been able to watch Bewafa because in the first 20 minutes I figured out the entire plot :(
I lent a friend my Bunty Aur Bubli so I haven't watched it yet.
I saw Bride and Prejudice and the songs were disgusting. The movie was alright, though.
Murder was nice even though it had a bit of sexuality in it. But I liked it :D
I tried to watch Zeher but in the first 5 minutes I figured out it was Denzel's "Out Of Time"... frame by frame. I was so disgusted and wanted to burn the DVD. Mind you, Murder is a remake of Unfaithful but it's different and thereby watchable. Zeher on the other hand...
I just got some old DVDs so I am watching Haasil, Dil and Rangeela in the near future... and that's whats up with my Bollywood movie watching adventure... what's going on in yours? :D
men their ain't no adventure kan kan o......I miss my Indian movies a lot men. I'ma try to rent some this weekend......I think there's a new Shahrukh movie called "Paheli" and I heard it's good. I'm also tryna get: Choker Bali, Parineeta, and I wanna see Bunty aur Babli too. And can you believe I've never seen "Taal"? I need to get that movie ASAP
