This month is May, the fifth month of 2009, and Jenfa part 3 is in the works. First two parts were released last year. Therefore, by Nigeria standard this second sequel is not being rushed.

For your information, Jenifa one and two were shot at the same time but released on different dates, something that EMG can't dare to do because of fear of losing money. This tells me that Funke is confident in her ability to deliver. I'm yet to see any of Funke's movies where she hasn't delivered, or where the movie is not interesting.

Kolinzo lets not drift into segregating & stating what EMG or YMG can DARE or can't DARE to do!! Jenifa was dragged just like the idumota emg movies for high gross income!!! And she slowed down at releasing the second part because the nature of the ymg market, doesn't encourage that... I even remember her troubles with the marketers who tried stealing from her product or eventually did. I am optimistic that if Funke had her way one and two may have been out on same minute.

No lele! Make she carry go. Advisors like you do no good to her.

I havn't seen any of her movies (saw a few mins of Jenifer) but diversity should keep her in the market...Later on, people would get tired of the "Funny -village girl" part...a good example as someone pointed out is Aki & Pawpau / Osuofia. They are not even comedy to me anymore. Good luck to her! Hope she has got herself a good manager that would sustain her and give her good exposure now she has new fans.

That Jenifa was dragged like typical EMG movies is really an ubelievable statement. Dragged? Drag is what they like doing in typical EMG movies not in YMG. Anyway, that's an arguement for another day. And I'm not even gonna touch the multiple parts strategy that EMG uses to make money, forcing consumers to buy two parts movies because they know they can't make their money if they release movies one part at a time. As for the YMG market strategy, it worked for Jenifa didn't it? If Jenifa 1 had sucked nobody would watch Jenifa 2. This means you have to bring your 'A' game if you want to succeed.

Anyway, to say that advisors like me do no good for her is another unbelievable statement. For some reason she has been successful for about five years now because advisors like me give her inspiration to reach for the sky. What she doesn't need is an advisor like you who gives wrong advise.

Aust_nne, don't let these people deceive you about Funke. She is versatile and can act any, and I mean any, role. I understand that some of you just knew who she is but for YMG fans she has been one of the top actresses and producer for four good years. She is no Aki and Pawpaw. BTW, Nkem Owoh cannot be stereotyped like Aki and Pawpaw. Although Nkem may not be as funny anymore but he is a good actor.

    I agree!

Babe, "Jenifa" is the first comedic role I have ever seen Funke Akindele play, ever! Just like Kolinzo already said, she has been acting and producing for some while now, and I am YET to see any flick she produced/acted in that was rubbish. Once I see her as the lead role in any flick, it is guaranteed(95%) to be a great watch. I have seen her play so many different roles, it is unbelievable. I don't want to compare her to any of her EMG contemporaries, but I DARE say that she is more diverse than MOST of them, by a mile! At least judging by all her flicks that I have seen. She is something totally DIFFERENT in each one, trust me.

Unfortunately, a lot of people, especially non-YMG watchers just found her out in "JENIFA" and automatically assume that is all she knows to do-comedy! Totally untrue. She is one of the best YMG actresses around and will make a good cross-over actress too. If she chooses to....

I believe in her a lot and I pray that she continues to deliver.
