LETTERS TO A STRANGER

STARRING:
Genny, Yemi, Fred, Ibinabo.
Segun Arinze Joke Silva and UK are in for less than 5mins and some new girl who is one of a character - her name is Elvina Ibru. It also Guest starring Dbanj - for a split second, if you bat an eye you might miss him.sweat:

Storyline:
When a man (Fred) decides to put his mother (Joke Silva) and job before his woman then he should be ready to loose her to teh next available bachelor. Jemima's (Genny) love life hasnt been on the smooth path as she expected. She made a call to her sister (Ibinabo) but she dialed the wrong number. Let see the out come of this call she made. grinning:

You don't have to find a perfect person to experience a perfect love. Starring Genevieve Nnaji, this spell binding love story would make you wonder ...Is love relative.

My Review:
more coming soon - but in summary i'd say this is one of the MOST "BEAUTIFUL" nollywood stories i have ever watched.

Its not your typical nollywood movie, but very very nice. The kind you just cuddle on your sofa with some coffee or tea and just enjoy. Come and see Yemi and his sweet talk straight out of some mills and boons combined with some broken english - Chei - it was something else. You have no choice but to fall in love with his character. The ending was a surprise to me yet very lovely and well ended. Fred did well on this story line. We need such difference in the industry - not like that stupidness fake accent, masquerade dressing, repititious script of a movie called "Most Wanted Batchelor".

Go grab ya copy of Letters to the Stranger. It will be Money well spent if you looking for something "different" from the usual boring ole same ole script. This one is not predictable.

Storyline: 8/10
Acting: 8/10

ps: does anyone know if Yemi has any stage acting in his background cos sometimes i watch him and he reminds me of those broadway actors. Very smooth. If you never paid attention to him, you might like him in this movie. He nailed it.

As for this Elvina Ibru lady, she is something else sweat:, but she comes across as such fun.sweat: SHe was annoying at times but love her character none the less. She will definately be remembered. I guess we will see more of her, base on audience response of this her first movie.

Ibinabo lost a tone of weight from when i last saw her in 30 Days - i guess she and genny must be hook on keeping fit since 30 Days. She looks hella good though. Very "Toned". What is it - the new nollywood trend?. New year resolution, get toned sweat:

Akos where did you get your movie. It's holiday season, i want to watch the movie in bed not on my computer.
They all got sent to me straight from lagos.- so I got it earlier than usual.
I hope this continues, cos i dont have patience when it comes to genny releases.
I'm like a crackhead needing a hitsweat: - Someone told me, Sanga Entertainment in NYC just got it and reproducing it as usual to push it out nationwide before christmas. If you know anyone in NYC/ Bronx area let them help you out.

Alright - keep ya knickers on sweat:, Ma bad, maybe Ibinabo was not in 30days. I always get her confused with one lady like that who was in 30 days. Either way she looks really goodin thismovie, i guess starring next to her bobo (Fred), helped too. Its a nice collecters item type of movie. Look out for it. Dont borrow or rent it. Buy it.sweat:

The movie is good. even my parents love it. Genny looks so beautiful. The chemistry between Yemi and Genny is palpable. A new romantic pair is born.

I have never seen a Nigerian movie twice before but this movie o (although it has its flaws, I had to overlook them) I have seen it three times already and have been telling everyone about it. On friday, I decided to call out from work @7am, I found myself watching this movie. Different storyline, no shouting/screaming, Genevieve was great but Yemi Blaq was fanatastic....my new love...this guy was very smooth with words....the part where he decided to speak pidgin was delivered perfectly....because of that single part, I found myself watching the movie over and over again....

Although the movie has flaws and the more you watch it, the more you will discover but the movie is great....the major problem the movie has were Fred Amata and Ibinabor....there acting just didn't sit well with the movie. They should have been replaced. Movie would have been better without them...their characters were boring.

Angel,
I totally concur. A new level in Nollywood movies. Halllleluya!! GLORY!!!!!
I loooooved it. New standard. And those Yemi raps. Chei, chei, holy chei!!!!!

For shizzle my yellow nizzle. Ahhhh! Definately not a typical Nollywood movie. Veery high class. Fantastic acting. Only problem was that I could not see Naija men doing that, getting together to discuss what? Very nice sha. Amata was okay, I think, but Ibinabo was wooden. Overall, veeery very nice.
Genny is soooo on fiya!!

Yemi Blaq! Chei.:love004:

Rating: 8/10
