ok folks...sifu, kaymax, blackpear...check in...how far with your healthier lifestyle?
did you fall off the wagon like me?
Not only did I fall off the wagon, I don miss road sef. I am back at the weight I was, I have been so busy and I started eating late at nights again, and fell to the carb monster, mostly jolloff and fried rice.

you can't fit exercising anywhere in your schedule? with the little one, early morning exercise might be out of the question.

I have been saying I would come back and update and even post pictures but been making excuses. I have just started trying to walk 30 to an hour a day. When I say walking I mean walking inside my apartment at about 12am when the boys are in bed and I have maybe caught up on some work. I feel guilty because I did not log any food from about the middle of November to the end of December but I still kept track. I am back to losing but not like the crazy mode I was before. My new schedule is 1 lb a week so I can have a little over 1400 calories a day. There was a time that they dropped my daily calories to less than 1000 a day. Not sure how I got through that. I can fit some size 6 now but I think I am really an 8. 8 fits me perfectly. I still want to lose about 20lbs though.

Rice. Rice. Rice. What can I say. I eat a small bowl of rice and my stomach looks like I am pregnant. Looking like a Nigerian politician. Yeah I hate rice

I did for a while but I really eat what I want now. I still have to do portion control and I definitely will not eat it as a meal on its own. I actually had rice and sushi the other day LMAO. If it is fried rice and jollof rice I might be able to respect myself but rice and stew.................... forgerabourrit

LOL, it's so funny you said that, the other day, he ran to my room saying he wanted me to come out and see the TV, he said 'mommy, this is what you need', damn, y'all, I kid you now, damn if the commercial for PS90 was not on! I about died on the floor. Asked him why he thinks I need it, he said 'mommy, you're always saying you're fat, just excercise and lose the weight. out of the mouths of babes, I started back actually last Saturday, have not had rice, and stopped eating late. Just trying to load up on protein.

I couldn't agree more with Kaymax and Sifu. Carbs addiction is real. I have the same problem with rice. I tried the brown rice and it's nothing to write home about. Even today at work, a Chinese client was telling me how to cook the brown rice to make it tasty but believe me, it was entering one ear and going out the other because I don't see myself doing all that she was saying just to make some brown rice taste good. I just need God's grace and mercies to help me quit this carb addiction.

making some dietary changes as well, and you're right, rice as a meal on its own has got to go. my american friends are amazed that rice is a main course, me i am amazed that a slab of meat is their main course.
i think just having a balance - a little bit of rice, veggies, meat...

LOL. How many ways will she tell you that there is no trick? I think it is one of those things that after a while you get used to the new taste. If you cut out rice completely for two weeks you will realize that you do not crave it anymore. Maybe it is the same situation here. It is now the new normal for her tastebuds. I'm I right Sugarmom?????/
