LMAOOO.
the one she used to have. :P
from the posts i've read it appears she's gone lazy and is not trying anymore.
what a waste.

I think she is at that point Genevieve and the rest got to, the elastic limit. She looks bored to her bones and it is probably just about the money. She still has energy but it is all over the place.

Mercy Johnson gets dragged in Muddy Street by truck

For 2 million bucks I guess its o.k. to get your ass dragged around in the mud. She's out shooting a new one, TM, MV, Ssergit, NTB & Supermom, hope you'all will like this next coming one. They said she lost some weight after pregnancy so she can be fit again for work. I give all the credit to her mentor. She has the best possible mentor in the business. Read on...

The barriers to acting are being broken and none other is making most waves at it than Mrs Okojie.
Prior to her getting pregnant and taking time off acting, Mercy Johnson had led the pack amongst all her peers with excellent acting movie after movie. So it’s natural that the time off and challenges of attending to a new baby would take off some of the sharpness after she came back in the early months.

But after working on her extra weight gain, Mercy is back at her best and is taking on roles her other colleagues would only dare dream of.

In the picture below, she is being dragged on a muddy street with her clothes completely soiled in mud. The movie is currently being shot and is expected to be released by the beginning of next year. Isn’t the man very mean?

oh that is terrible.

I remember when Nnaji was in that phase. the boredom would practically ooze out of her pores and you could tell she was done, just done with the whole thing. this was when all the roles she was doing were the super rich executive who was a looking for a man. ugh. hated that phase.

Eagle's bride (how do i still remember that!) and Rising Sun are the only two i remember that were refreshing to see after she went through that phase...oh and the one where she was a blind character.

but after that, i just stopped watching because she got bored again.
oh well...i suppose MJ needs something challenging. how many of the same roles will you play 50 times a year and not get bored.

I think with the right project and right director they would be good. Nnaji was fantastic in 'Ije' and 'Tango with me', very forgettable in 'Mirror Boy' and "Dr Bello" and horrendous in 'Weekend Getaway'. It all depends on who/what they are working on and with, i guess.

i've been taking a long break from nigerian movies because frankly they were becoming "stupider" and "sillier" and more horrendous by the day.
haven't seen Ije, nor Tango (or any of the others) so i can't speak on her recent performances.

I wish them well.

You should see the good ones, to at least give you some hope. I could mail you a DVD copy of 'Ije' if you are in the US and maybe 'The Meeting' if it is out before Christmas.

If Mercy Johnson delivers the goods and asks to be paid higher.......where is the problem? Why blackmail somebody/people?
Go for cheaper services and the obvious result shall be POOR/BAD results.
As ssergit rightly said: BARGAIN.
I add COMMUNICATE.

Let me first of all congratulate Naijarules for restoring normalcy to the site. We are actually discussing talents and giving constructive criticism.

For those who want to see Mercy Johnson in action, watch Distance Between (directed by Izu Ojukwu). Honestly, that movie converted me to her camp. Cooperate Maid was a funny movie and I enjoyed it. However, she overdoes it in most of her movies and that didn't start today. She's been doing that for years

As for Marketers, a day is coming when they will go into extinction. It is fast approaching. Mercy Johnson and Tonto Dikeh are the queens of Nollywood. They sell movies! If Mercy Johnson wants 2millie marketers should let her be and allow the ones who can afford her use her service. Somebody will sue these people one of these days and they will lose big time.

unfortunately Ko, the nigerian movie folks haven't been giving us..ok, let me talk about me specifically, i haven't been motivated to watch any movies, because i got severely turned off during the phase of The Porn. i just couldn't stomach it. i can see if they even pulled it off (hehe no pun intended) but they were so crass and crude.
i'm sure there are some good movies out there.
but the motiviation (or interest) just ain't there on my part.
