Guys as you all know, this is the Genny fan club where we discuss and admire Genevieve. But it won't be complete without a thread listing Genevieve's movies (both past and present) so that her fans can go out and rent or buy them.

Please if you know you're not a Genny fan, just ignore the thread, no need to make unnecessary comments OK.

I haven't watched all of Genevie's movies, but since she's currently among the blacklisted actors, it gives me a chance to watch her movies that I haven't seen before.

wow! meddeen, your list is the most exhaustive genny movie list i have read anywhere--including on her own(old) website..........I mean we are still waiting for work on her new one to be finally completed..............summer has already begun and it still reads "coming summer 2005.'' Back to the list..... it includes some of her best work--"Keeping Faith,Critical Decision,Butterfly, games women play etc. Some of the movies on the list spotlight the young talent that was Genevieve before the substandard stuff came along........I remember my reaction when i saw butterfly......the movie itself as a whole was not all that good but her performance! What can i say about it?. ........she gave the most authentic and sustained and emotionally penetrating performance i have seen any nigerian actress give on screen. You could almost feel yourself in the movie. It was that real--very absorbing. My friend ,who is one of those rare types who hardly watch nigerian movies still talks about her like there is no tomorrow.Let's us face it.Genevieve Nnaji may not be the prettiest, perhaps not even the most talented actress in nigeria but she sure is the biggest thing to ever hit nollywood...... This young lady is larger-than-life. She would be nollywood's first true superstar and crossover act.

@ the highlighted section, Genevieve is already Nollywood's first true superstar, the only thing remaining for her is to crossover to Hollywood. :cool-smil

I watched that stupid movie and Genny wasn't in it but her face was on the cover. I remember that one. Her face was on the cover and that is why I rented it only to find out that Regina's bad acting graced and disgraced the entire movie.
That also happened with another movie, ummm, ..... it was Called By Fire, it was produced by Charles Okafor and Uche Osulute was in it. There was this big picture of Genny on cover looking magnificent as always and then I got excited cuz I thought I was about to watch a great movie, only to find out that this girl was not even it. I quickly turned the movie off even though I knew Uche was also a good actress but that's just really bad false advertisment.
-someone should get sued for that! :smilies23 :gnash

You may want to check out that movie again, I watched it last week and she was VERY MUCH in Called by Fire. You turned it off too quick. Without giving too much away, she played 'the other woman'. It was a useless movie, why she signed up to do it is beyond me. AGAIN, GENE IS IN CALLED BY FIRE. The movie just sucked.

Meddeen, your dedication and commitment to your adored star is amazing, hopefully its not infatuation.I pray that when you become a star, you'd have committed fans like urself.

To say the least,GENNY is A GREAT actress, she's gone far and there's yet a distance that she will still go......Hardwork surely gets rewarded!

"GOD LOVES PROSTITUTE 1&2" is not on your list though.
