Movies that everyone has seen except you!

Dearest Knight, at thine pleasure we shall dine in privy; here, taketh thou a token of mine favour - :586::586: while I awaiteth thee...
I shall taketh thy beauteous visage and comely form into mine loving arms and transporteth into the Paradise Gardens of Love...:586: :586: Where we shall drink of the pleasures of our love banquet, kissing under the chrysanthemums, gentle nuzzling under the geraniums and other things which shall remain hidden from Thick Madam's and Village-Boi's prying eyes....:p :p

The Figurine - Araromire!

I watched it 2 days ago! Brilliant! Though with some lapses in story line connection.

Like, Ramsey's character being the weirdo. Hmmmmm........ I dunno. Didn't feel it sha. No suspense to me at all! Maybe because there was no sound effect and no.... I dunno..... I just didnt feel it at all!
To me it was brilliant up to the 2/3 point then the story madly, badly fell off a cliff into something so daft it entered top 10 of most ridiculous films ever!
That's why they say you MUST know the end of your film before you even start writing it.

Not seen 'Mirror Boy' but should rectfy that soon as a week-long film festival near me is going to be showing it with a Director/Star Q&A at the end of the screening... nice!!

..still The Drama Queen!

My dear, I weak. For all the noise about this movie, being expensive and all.....hmmmmm... I JUST DID NOT FEEL IT AT ALL!
Too many unrealistic things!
* Araromire is supposedly a villa, right? How did Kunle's character search out something that was hidden under refuse! And you would think that is where some sinister and scary sound effect would have been played!

* Ramsey's character during NYSC was balder than his present day character! haba! Don't people bald with age? Abi, do people UN-bald? tee hee hee
* the dying fire had fire woods leftover, but meanwhile, when Kunle's character was burning it, we did not see him create a pile of wood to burn the thingy! Haba!
* So, the NYSC soldier refused to take them back to that place, but somehow, they found their way? With a jeep? BUT the old scene with them showed them walking through deep forest/path ways.

All the minor niggles in the film would not have bothered me one bit. The 'story' was going in 'direction A' then at some point they couldn't remember what the story was... probably had a kpa-kpa-kpa meeting and decided...

"Oh don't worry about what we can't remember about the figurine; let it now be that they have been mass carving the thing inside some backroom and let nothing else in the film make any sense at all from this point on with regard to what has gone on previously... all vote now."
- "Yes sah!! Bayeni Sah!".
"Oh and people do we put a disclaimer at the end of the film because we have not got a fracking clue what the story was anyway?"
- "Mmmmm good idea Sah"
"Yeah I think so afarall dumb axx people will translate it as the latest and greatest arty-farty something out of Nollywood."

As for me I regret ever spending my money to see that pile of crap in the cinema... Biggest hisssss EVER!!!

Are you that easy to con? That dude wouldn't know a love poem if it dropped on his lap and tattooed its name on his moneypenny!
:sign0148:let me think...hmmm, could you write me a love poem then so I can see what it really looks like? Then I can determine if GSA can or cannot write a love poem.:biggrinangelA:

Cut and paste ? Cheap song lyrics from the web ? No competition ? Hehehehehehehe...:D

mmmmmm do I detect a hint of slander ? :sign0155: envy ? :sign0155:
Don't envy my original swag, my original lyrics, my pizazz, my panache, my way with words to woo, wow and win the fairest lady of them all, Tam-tam...hahahah... luxlove: ***enfolds Tam-tam in a warm and loving embrace and passionately smooches her till Sola turns green with envy*** :spudnikzweety:

So my dear Lady Tam-tam, it seems a love poetry duel is about to start on NR...it just shows you are even more beautiful than Helen of Troy....:love004:

Loved District 9, liked the originality of a somewhat overdone subject in movies, Aliens....
Another cool Alien movie is "Attack the Block"...I'm surprised too many people haven't seen it...maybe because nah Britico film...
I've seen it recently and yeah, very good movie too...As you said, it was probably underrated cos it's British.

Blood Will Call II and I'm partially yours...then another book, short or long story(ies) then I'm three-quarterly yours... to be fully yours, it has to be a saga akin to Jeffery Archer's Time Will Tell or Ngugi's Wizard of the Crow or Ken Follet's Fall of The Giants...

So what are you waiting for??? Off you go then!

Attack the block is watchably good. Jeepers Creepers is really good horror. Same with Darkness Falls.
Jeepers Creeps is a good film that I will never watch again EVER. Used to babysit all the sproglets in the building and they would only watch that film; sometimes 3 times in a row - it drove me mad. After a few months I hid it. The part 2 is rubbish.

Horror is one genre I never really got into....but there's one I like called "Tucker & Dale vs. Evil"...the movie makes fun of slasher, "college kids in the woods" type of movies..it's a good watch...
