    my random political thoughts today:

    1. citizens united, in my opinion, is the worst decision EVER by the roberts' court. E.V.E.R

    2. the level of disrespect to the president is alarming and i'm surprised more people aren't up in arms over these choice of words...you don't refer to the president as a "tar-baby" even if you meant to say sticky situation, then say sticky situation and not use that word.

    3. pat buchanan probably didn't mean "your boy" in a derogatory term like that, but what do i know? it sounds pretty bad though.

    4. the guy who referred to the president as "a dick" has been reinstated. hmm. i thought that was very disrespectful.

    5. so glad sailin' palin has been out of the picture, and not to judge any mother raising her children the best way she knows how, but you probably shouldn't be beating the morality horse to death and abstinence thing if your kids are just gonna go ahead and get preggers or get their girl preggers and then have to hastily marry her. i'm just saying, you probably want to get off that high horse.

    6. i am so disgusted with politics...wisconsin, florida...i know, i know, politricks is a dirty game, but...arrrgh. really?!

    7. amazing how the GOP is getting away with murder. nobody can head the CFB? the financial thing with Ms Warren? and why is obama not screaming blue bloody murder and letting the people know that the gop is not wanting to staff the agency set up to protect them from predator banks and credit card companies?

    8. lmao, michelle bachman's husband is so suspect.

    9. grover nordquist (sp) how the hell does one man pull the strings of these gop sheep? how does he sleep at night?

    10. I need #44 to man up, find his b**ls and kick some axx, figuratively of course.

no more thoughts, this is just depressing.

    p.s.
bro sola, could you change the title of this thread pls? tenks.

You just need to start a new thread with things like this. Start a new conversation instead of appending hot new stuff to old unconnected threads...

that's why I wanted to know if you could change the title of that thread to something else, something more encompassing.
I went a little crazy during the 08 election cycle and promised sindey (and myself) that I'd temper it this time around hence my making all my political rants, thoughts, commentary in one place.
    sorry for the extra work.

    sigh!
    wisconsin. what a disappointment.

navy seals. 30! gone! my heart breaks.
i am trying to figure out what we are still doing in afghanistan. from all indications, karzai is not even pretending to be our ally anymore, and i understand, humanitarian tendencies and all because the women will suffer more but..um...shit! i don't know what to think.

ok, ok...i'm all about constructive criticism. infact i believe you NEED that type of criticism.
BUT! when it comes from a personal grieivance or vendetta? c'mon now.

i've been following this Tavis Smiley + Cornel West Vs. Barack Obama thing for a few months now and haven't said anything about it.
then bros smiley and west decided to go on this poverty tour and i heard a bunch of interviews they have given especially on my favourite NPR programs and each interview, they always bring up:
    1. He didn't invite me to the inauguration (west)
    2. my mother and brother didn't get tickets to the inauguration but a janitor did (west)
    3. He confronted me at a gathering about why i was always tearing into him (west)
    4. He's never come on my radio show, tv show and all other presidents in recent memory have done so (smiley)
    5. He didn't come to the state of the black union (smiley)
    6. I've never been invited to any media event at the white house since he became president (smiley)

like i said earlier, yes, constructive criticism is OK. infact it should be welcomed, but can we please focus on the issues?
i think what they're doing is good, somebody needs to bring the plight of the poor and downtrodden to the fore, but at this time i dont' even care about their poverty tour because all i hear is their personal issues with the man.
    oh well.

I don't trust Tavis Smiley and Cornel West. They are too quick to pull that "I am a black man in America card"

True. I feel like every time a person pulls the race card, their credibility diminishes. What is the state of the black union? Mschew.

That was some fire works

    • Rick Santorum begged for more airtime :roll and na so he go beg for more time if he becomes President

    • Mitt Romney not answering questions about his health care plan, clearly shows that he does not even understand his own plan.

too many to list but the attacks on each other was too

Pat Buchanan probably meant "boy'...He's tried to hide his ways, but they peek out at times like these. Remember that this is the same man, who in his political career, was against funding for educational programs in minority neighbourhoods, because according to him, it was a scientific fact, that people of colour had smaller brains, and thus could'nt benefit much from education. We studied his rhetoric in a Sociology of Race class I took some years back...He tries to hide his true self, but it peeks out, in not so subtle ways.

michelles gonna loose a lot of her support. and mitt should probably step his game up.
my uncle called me and we were both laughing our yansh off.
the parts we saw was funny. he called me the next day and said I should have watched the whole thing. his wife kicked him to the basement to watch the tv there because he was laughing too hard and would have woken the baby up.

#8. Suspect ke? That man is flaming. Never seen him but have heard his voice quite a few times. I am pretty sure he walks around in lingerie all day. His wife is definitely the dude in the set up. She certainly has the face to prove it
