We have a 2004 thread hereabouts where guys like Vince and Grafik category asserted they will NOT be getting a vasectomy for whatever reason. I wonder if their opinions have changed?

Guys, would you get a vasectomy?
Ladies, a vasectomy is so much easier for a guy to have than the procedure you would have to go through for a permanent birth control. Would you consider letting baba bomboy snip after you don finito with the bambino borning?

Vasectomy info

Me, I'm totally down with it.

Ditto!! Only problem is that you, as a Nigerian man, are an anomaly.

What scares a guy is anyone messing around the center of gravity, but it does no harm to functionality...

What's wrong with Naija men's female partners using birth control ? The pill allows both parties enjoy full conjugal relations without having to go through unneccesary surgical procedures.

I know someone who got one.... But he made sure to freeze some sperm, which then allowed him to actually have more kids years after the surgery....

While I understand the decision, and totally agree with the rationale. Not sure I would go for it myself... But it is not far fetched....

So because he lost his kids, he must have more? Does he realise the older you are when you have kids, the more likelihood there is of the kids having issues. Folks have been known to live full lives without kids o...

have you asked your female partner about the effects of birth control? the weight gain? the hormonal changes inside her body? the side effects?
No mind am. Na so Naija men dey talk. So unafraid of modern things.

Sola, isn't it his choice? Yes, the older you are, it is likely that the baby may have some defects....

However, a 49 year old woman just delivered a healthy baby for her daughter. It is currently in the news. Another one that I heard of was 54. Everything is possible. My girlfriend's son has autism and she had him in her twenties.

And the day she forgets? They best start shopping for another baby. The surgical procedure gets it done once and for all. It's a small sacrifice compared to the sacrifice of the woman putting her life on the line having children over and over again especially if she's got health issues. If their wives can go the labour room so many times. what's one surgical operation compared to that?

Wow! I've never even heard about the weight gain side effect. The hormonal changes is enough side effect to send anyone miles away from them pills.
