Some of us are just listing names of actors and actresses like say Rudeboy no sabi list names? Anyway I no go list anything. The following are greatest for me:
Tony St. Iyke - may his soul rest in peace
Claude Eke - Jegade Sokoya in New Masqurade
Liz Evoeme - Zebrudaya's wife
Lomaji Ugoji - Court Clerk in Iche Oku
Edith Jane Azu
Columbus Irosoanger - can't ever spell his name right!
Village Headmaster himself
Defence Lawyer (with beards, do not know his name) - in ASSIZES! NTA Benin court drama...
most of these new artistes are either good looking or glamorous, likeable or popular, that in no way does mean they are great actors or actresses.
We only have great actors and actresses (which of cause include all), we don't have greatest. Sorry to say. Maybe the old folks are the greatest sha. (orishabunmi, fadeyi oloro, igboirumole, saworoide and agogo eewo casts, etc)
richard mofe damijo

Sorry o but my list go get K-leg small, I racked my brain and I could not just single out ten/twenty greates actors/actresses. We've had some truly wonderfully talented people and so....
My top ten:
1. All the cast members of Village headmaster
2. Cast of Mirror in the sun
3. Cast of checkmate
4. Cast of Sura the tailor
5. Cast of Hotel de Jordan
6. Cast of Aluwe
7. Cast of New masquerade
8. The Jacobs (Olu and Joke)
9. Cast of Things fall apart (igbo and English versions
10. Cast of Second chance
and ofcourse ***Hubert Ogunde***
ABEG, HOW PESIN FIT GET MASTERTAPES OF ALL THESE OLD SOAPS/DRAMAS. I would love to just buy the rights, digitally remaster them and release in the market again. They are part of our cultural landscape and should really be preserved.
BTW, can anyone still remember "THE SUNNY SIDE OF LIFE" by Patrick Itoghyen (spelling?). It was one of the most intelligent programs to grace the Nigerian screen. Three guys representing the ethnic tripod, discussing very topical national issues in an atmosphere of jokes. I miss naija.........
Sam Dede (he was remarkable in Issakaba)
Bimbo Manuel (wonder where he is)
Eucharia Anunobi (I think her acting is phenominal)
All others are either too monotonous/unseasoned for my liking.
Definitely GENEVIEVE NANJI
