A Big Hello to All,
I am new to this forum and new to African movies. I was hoping you guys can guide me to great Nollywood movie experience. I saw my first two African movies 4 days ago,( Blood Sisters / The Breakup ) and immediately went online to search for reference. This was the first forum I came across and decided to join. Please forgive my ignorance, as I do not know the difference between Yoruba, Igbo or Hausa. I also do not know if the two movies I mentioned are Nigerian. If someone can guide me to an online movie rental company offering African movies and if you can offer some movie recommendations I would great fully appreciate it.
Thanks in Advance to all

You are most certainly welcome
You are definately in the right place.
So tell me- where are you from?

The two movies you watched are both "Naija" (alias for Nigeria), i hope you enjoyed both and if so, which one did you like the most sweat: . If you dont mind me asking where did you get the movies to watch.

Welcome.

Thank you for the quick reply, I actually enjoyed them both, believe it or not, I picked up both copies at a flea market. I have been looking for other movies since but have been unable to find any. the copy was not so good, it appeared to have been downloaded, but it was tolerable. I live in Miami

Hey I'm recently new to watching african movies and Im hooked! Im having a hard time getting into the Nigerian movies.

Right now I prefer the Ghanian ones, buts they are much easier on the eyes but the production is not up to par with the nigerian ones.

For now I look for the movies that do a Ghanian-Nigerian colaboration. I believe A womans honour is one of those. You should see the beautiful africans.

Since I don't have any other reference, when selecting a movie and just buy the ones with the pics of the most attractive actors.

Since no one answered your questions, I guess I can point you in the right direction. Many of the questions you are asking have been answered in detail on this site.

Go to the Nigerian movies review forum (I guess) on this site. Click on it and you will find 4 stickies that should tell you most of what you need to know.
Here's a link to helpe you out:

In addition, for where to get them, here is a start:

Hope that helps.

Google "Nigerian Movies" and you will get a zillion places to buy online. Different people have varying experiences with them. Indeed, some of them are glorified pirates, so we vouch for none here.

There's also a list to choose from here:

Thank You Funmo / Mimi Victor

Welcome on board, FFL. So, r u a white or black male/female, if u don't mind me asking?

Try and buy online from legitimate sites of cos. You'll do nollywood a favour by not supporting piracy.

I hope u're here to stay and enjoy d atmosphere too.hbeat:
