I havent finished Measuring Time Dani, just reading it now. I read another Habila book first called "Waiting for an Angel"

Meanwhile, I hear Sefi Atta has published her newest. I want to read it, and also Jude Dibia is working away at his next! Cant wait! I seriously miss you guys and the book club!

Where's the gang? Bluestocking, I sabi say waka waka no gree you but abeg make we try dey post inside this thread small small. Real life has soooo taken over, but I miss our reviews and general banter!
KK, told u u wont review. i soooooooooooo know u. cant wait 4 the Jude joint. hadd to add him as a friend on facebook, that way mayb just mayn he would give me an autographed copy of the book.

I just got the Oprah book club selection by Naija's own Uwem Akpan -Say ur one of them ( a collection of 5 short stories)

The first is called an Exmas feast !!!

Id like to discuss the book with others ... I paid $14.99 for the book at Barnes and nobles

Is this thread still alive? Why don't we turn it into a dedicated book club and nominate books to read and review monthly?
I think the BC might work better with sub-forums for genres and sub-genres like Romance, Urban, Political, African-American, African, Nigerian, Sci Fi, Teen, Religious, Folklore, Mythology etc., being primarily organized within two main sections for Fiction & Non-Fiction; just my half cent and a nickel..:tdo9:

biko go and read "feddie girl" non naija author but the book is about naija boarding school life and it's a really good one, have not put it down since yesterday when it arrived.
I've had it for a while just haven't finished it yet. I got to the part where she gets to boarding school...

Just finished "Blackbird" by Jude Dibia. Brilliant.He's such a good writer.Very simple but fluent prose conveys all the complexity of the xters he created for this book. I thoroughly enjoyed it.grinning:
