naija actors/actresses should be open to criticism!!!
i mean how do they want to improve if they don't accept criticism in good faith! i paid my hard earned £££s to rent naija films so i deserve the best u know. moreso, it's a free world.

I just saw that movie today. I agree with Nne-Baby....why did the dad die of shock when he foundout she was pregnant. While, according to the tape he said he married the girl for RMD and that he also knew that they were having an affair, then why the hell was he in shock when he found out she was married...i thought he had a hawk eye:confused:

You could see what they were trying to do,although they did not do it quite well.
Overall it was a good movie.

The pleasures, pains in Private Sin 2

Some might be lucky to get away with indulging in temporary pleasures of life. But for others, a few minutes of such pleasure might turn out to be the beginning of nightmares. The experience of Jake (Richard Mofe-Damijo) in the movie, ‘Private Sin 2’ says much about the need to exercise restraint when it comes to matters of the heart. Jake, a handsome pastor in one of the churches, gets married to Faith (Genevieve Nanji), a young pretty lady whose mission in the church was actually to get the pastor. But soon after marriage, traits of incompatibility started emerging. His father, Bricks (Olu Jacob), soon finds out that his only son was not happy with the union. On one of his trips abroad, he stumbled on Evelyn (Stephanie Okereke), a lady he felt would be a suitable match for his son. He married her, and used every opportunity to bring her into physical contact with his son. Although he could see elements of affection between the two, he never thought it would work out the way he wanted, his son being a very principled pastor.

Jake’s wife, Faith, soon discovered that her husband was having an affair with Evelyn. With so much pressure on the home front, Jake opted to confess his sin in the church. But his confession was badly received by both the congregation and his wife, who saw it as an attempt to put her to shame. She confronted Evelyn, threatening to reveal the affairs to Bricks, her father in-law. But before she could actualise her threat, Evelyn visited her doctor, where she was confirmed to be pregnant. The doctor relays the news to her husband, Bricks, who was shocked, but all the same managed to control his emotions. He confronts Evelyn, demanding to know who is responsible for the baby. Well, Bricks passed on while trying to unearth the identity of the strange lover. Jake visits Evelyn shortly after the burial but their conversation is interrupted. His wife, Faith, is involved in an accident. He is told at the hospital that his wife may never walk again. But Jake tries as much as possible to be a good husband to avoid aggravating the plight of his wife, who was already on a wheelchair.

But the widow stumbled on a written note and recorded videotape besides her travelling document, directing her to join Jake in watching the tape.

The tape revealed details of the intrigues played by Bricks on his wife, Evelyn and son, Jake. It is up to Jake to make the decision either to marry Evelyn, who is now carrying his baby or leave his traumatised wife. The rest of the story is left for the viewer to unravel. However, ‘Private Sin 2’ is a beautiful plot, well crafted. The pictures are very sharp in addition to good audio quality. This is one flick that actually revealed the best in Genevieve, she is natural, and complemented with a dazzling beauty only a few producers would afford to do without in any movie. Richard Mofe-Damijo, Olu Jacobs and Stephanie Okereke also gave a good account of themselves. However, so much time appear to have been spent on the burial scene, which ought not to be. Besides, the film has some semblance with Richard Mofe-Damijo’s ‘Out of Bounds’, which featured him as a randy pastor. This is not good enough for creativity.

Nevertheless, there are some lessons for the viewer, most especially as it has to do with parents’ insistence on making an input in the choice of spouse for their wards. ‘Private Sin 2’ was produced and directed by Teco Bens

The way Genny's character died at the end was kinda funny, don't you think?
We were made to believe that she is recovering from the psychological shock of being crippled, only to inexplicably die without us knowing what really killed her.
I know that they had to kill her off to make way for the RMD Stephanie union, but like that....it was not convincing to me.
Anyway, the movie was Genny's show all the way.Her performance was scintillating throughout.:)

Pastor or no pastor,he is only human, meaning that he is not temptation-proof.

I GUESS YOU'RE REFERRING TO STEPHANIE OKEREKE: THERE ARE TWO DIFFERENT ACTRESSES WITH THE FOLLOWING NAMES---STEPH-NORA & STEPHANIE. THE ONE IN PRIVATE SINS IS STEPHANIE OKEREKE. SHE GOT MARRIED AND IS NOW CALLED STEPHANIE FALANA.
