Well, I washed with pantene natural shampoo and conditioner, I dried it with a Tshirt like the video, then I put the shea butter leave in conditioner, the oils, coconut, olive, and morroccan oils, and a bantu curl enhancing cream. I put some more water, then did the brush motion, then sprayed a bit more h2o and that's it.
That is some heavy moisturizing right there. Maybe I don't mositurize my hair enough then. Maybe when I take this hair off I will include more oils. I watch simply younique on youtube. I think her hair texture is a lot like mine. Obviously she spends a lot of time on her hair.

@ TM I forgot to add that I use cantu shea butter too. I will not be buying it again when I am done though. It works but nothing special in my opinion. My sister used Cantu when she was here so I tried it too because it did not have as much residue

So why won't you get it again then? what would you use in its place? Will you just mix your own? I think I may do that as well. And I'm surprised this is very inexpensive, I bought everything I needed for under 60$!

I really wanted to get Carols daughter loc butter but I live in cincinnati (reserve my comment). To get it I would have to drive to the Dayton mall. They carry it at JC Penney. It was a weekend and so I just went to the asian hairstore close by and bought the shea butter I found there. It does exactly what the curl enhancing moisturizer does for my hair. I am thinking now that if I mix the curl enhancing moisturizer with coconut oil (the curl enhancing moisturizer already smells like coconuts) then maybe just maybe I would not need to use as much moisturizer and therefore less residue. That is my next experiment I guess

Cool, keep me posted. I want to know what's working for everyone. One quick question though, when you say residue, are you speaking of the 'oiliness or greasiness' of the hair? I don't know that I can take that too much. My hair is still soft, but there is a slight greasiness or oiliness to it, me no like.

@ the bold, what comment are you reserving? no black folks live there? also, can't you get the carlos stuff online if it's that good?

I think you can get carols daughters products online but I needed a quick thing that day. The residue is the whitish thing it leaves behind. I wonder sometimes if it because Ileave my house very cold. Maybe with more heat it would not look as bad. I don't remember how it was when I was in atlanta but I used my sisters products when I was there and she pretty much sticks with cantu and olive oil.

Oh yeah, that white stuff was on for about 3 hours, so I know next time I do that, I will do it before bed. That was a bit annoying. Well the stuff I used today (bantu and organic beauty oils) left the residue. I'm assuming it was the leave in.

The residue was my issue with kinky curly. If you don't use all their products together Na wahala.
I have been using coconut oil from walmart. The extra virgin coconut oil.
It moisturizes well, especially since my hair is very "thirsty "to quote sifu.
Still looking for a conditioner I like but I've been using this leave in galled it's a 10. So far so good but we'll see.

My natural Hair Looks Like Pubic Hair- Nana Aba Anamoah

Nana Aba Anamoah, TV3 news anchor and host of Diva’s show has said she will never marry a Rastafarian because of her perception that every Rastafarians smokes “weed”.

She made this statement on the ‘Hang Out’ segment on the Cruise Control’ show with Kwame B on Hitz FM. Nana Aba said though she had a “perception about Rastafarians, she loved the mentality of anybody who believed in Rastafarians though she could not rally jell with them. She explained that she respected Rastafarians but would find it difficult to spend much time or a whole day with a Rastafarian since she was scared that some of the hair might enter her mouth.

Nana Aba stated that being a Rastafarian did not make a person different but she needed to be sensitized in order to do away with the perception she held about them. When asked why she loved putting on weaves, Nana Aba said her natural hair didn’t look good and looked like pubic hair that was why she loved wearing weaves.

She further disclosed that if she had been a man, she would have seized every opportunity to advice all men not to hit a woman, no matter the provocation.**
