President of the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum, AYCF, Shettima Yerima, has maintained that the statement issued by the Coalition of Northern Groups on Tuesday asking the Igbo to leave the North was to help them achieve their Biafra faster. Yerima added that he has no apology for issuing the quit notice that has received so much condemnation from all over the country. In an interview with Punch, the youth leader maintained that he has done nothing wrong in trying to help Igbo people get their much need country. More..........

At least a few sane people spoke up this time. The funny part is the North is so dependent on the rest of Nigeria. Nigeria's split will hurt them the most, especially because all the stolen oil blocks will be lost for good, and they will be left with a handful of items, mostly food/perishables, and very little western education to bring them into the 21st century. The Northern masses will hurt even more while their so-called leaders continue to bleed them dry. You would think the youths would know better...
