I am sure we have all heard this before I mean Biafra. Some people here were around in those days and most have read about it.War is no joke even Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu himself said it should not be tried again. Now here comes this fellow called Nnamdi Kanu with his suicidal mission .He promised to make Somalia looks like a paradise.

WOW at the title "SO CALLED BIAFRA. Really??? No one said it will be easy but a people determined should be free to do so.

Is all about freedom. Freedom of self determination just like the following.
Singapore was once part of Malaysia
Pakistan was once part of India
Bangladesh was once part of Pakistan
East Timor was once part of Indonesia
Sudan was once part of Greater Egypt
Eritrea was once part of Ethiopia
South Sudan was once part of Sudan
Cameroon was once part of Nigeria
Namibia was once part of South Africa
Gambia was once part of Senegambia
Ukraine was once part of USSR
Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia were once together in Yugoslavia
Crimea was once part of Ukraine
Czech and Slovakia were once together as Czechoslovakia
United States of America was once part of the British Empire
Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Amernia, Jordan, Israel, Palestine etc., were once part of the Othman Empire.

ONE DAY IT WILL BE WRITTEN THAT BIAFRA WAS ONCE PART OF NIGERIA!

NTB, my intention was not to dismiss the IDEA of some Igbos that want their own . Some of the examples of the countries you give above (to put it in the words of VINCE) have K-legs.For some reasons I deffer to DIM ODUMEGWU OJUKWU when it concerns 'Biafra' .NTB do you think the Ogonis ,Calabas and the Ijaws.will agree to go with the Igbos? What about the millions of the Igbos in other parts in Nigeria will they all go back HOME? To do what? The way I think about "Biafra' is the same I think about so called OODUA Nation.some uninformed Yoruba dream about. two things I know for sure the present politcal system we have in Nigeria is not good for Nigerian particularly those in The South.A palliamentry federal system is better .This way the West and the East can operate at their own pace. The second thing For the sake of the Igbos this Nnamdi Kalu should tune it down.Igbos deserve better.Where are the new Mbonu Ojike,Jaja Nwachuku, Michael Okpara,Mbadiwe and the great ZIK of Africa?

First and foremost Biafra is not an idea. Biafra is a nation that is very much alive and her people should not be indimated with fear of war, loss of life, starvation... to stay in Nigeria. It was wrong then and is certainly wrong now. The United States and England admits Biafran refugees into their Countries.

For how long shall the Southerns especially the Igbos continue to listen to the song and dance of a parliamentarian system? As my people will say "AKUKO" (stories).

The people you named have played their part and joined their ancestors. This generation must do their part with the tools available to them even with the likes of Nnamdi Kanu.

Sometimes we have to be careful about what we ask for. Does anybody really think majority of the Igbos will like to have their own country if they are presented the option? You cited Bangladesh,South Sudan Eretrea,Etc Can Nigeria and the Igbos in particular afford the millions of the citizens of those countries killed during their wars? by the way those countries are the poorest in the world today .After almost 60 years some parts of Pakistan are no mans land today. what about North and south Koreans any peace down there? As soon as South Sudan got their wish they started fighting one another till today .when Pakistan got their wish .Bangladesh wanted out .millions were killed all over again. You really think all the Eastern Nigerians will peacefully want to be part of Biafra?By the way AKUKO means ROOSTER in my area.

What are you afraid of? Ndi Igbo will survive just like they survived after the war when they lost everything they had. Prepare your mind for a resounding YES to your question.

Okuko means Rooster, Chicken in Igbo.

Oppressed? Oppressor? The last time I checked An EASTERN NIGERIAN Guy was the President of Nigeria An Igbo woman was in charge of the Finance. an Easterner was in charge of Petroleum Revenues. My questions still remain .What happens to the millions of hard working Igbos in other parts of Nigeria that call there Homes. second, will the Ijaws Calabas and the Ogonis consider themseves Biafrans? This thread is not directed to any particular person.Visit any town in Western Nigeria you see Igbos completely live among the NATIVES. they do not have SABO.like the Housas do. The Ibos do not only speak Yoruba, they speak the DILECT.Now because this NNamdi Kanu way back in UK.decides the Igbos in all parts of Nigeria will pack and go to places that they only vist once in awhile. When Kanu and his supporters in Taxas ,UK ,LA ,Chicago and DC. move back to Enugu ,Oweri and the villages then I know they are serious.
