Story Of An Igbo Woman In Dallas

if you don't own a bank account and he has absolute control of the finances and will not give you any money to buy a ticket, how will you go for your parent's burial?

I am not saying that the man was not controlling everything but if she wanted to go pay her LAST RESPECTS to her father she would have gone. If money was the main issue then she would have found a way to go. I am saying this because if a woman came to me and told me such a sad story about what her man was doing to her and how her father has died and he will not let her go to Nigeria, I don't even have to know that woman from Adam. I will find that money and give to her. I will call people up and raise that money if I did not have it. So I feel that if she wanted to go to her dads funeral, she would have borrowed that money, begged for it if she had to.
If you are coming from the point of view that she was just so abused that she could not even consider doing something he told her not to then I will understand but from a financial standpoint............ ahah

Shege Babangida!!! Dis one pass me o!!!!

Even judging from their respective stories, you can tell who is giving us some truth and who is feeding us lumps of lies!! But haba!!! Dis woman yab no be small!!!! Nwanyi a ibu ewu! So it took her 20 good years to wake up and smell the coffee??? If this all transpired in Naija, ehen I can try and understand! As we all know that our archaic African culture will give a standing ovation to the woman who dies of high blood pressure while trying to maintain a happy home and give whiplash to that woman who emancipates herself from a suffocating marriage! But not here, in obodo America where even JJCs that got shipped from the village to their "Americana husbands" wisen up after 6 months!! Haba! So if she was choked to death within those 20 years, nah who she for don dey narrate all dis tales and moonlight to??? Ehn??

As for her husband! Any intelligent mind wey read hin own version of the tori, fit tell what calibre of man hin be!! His version of the story has said a lot about him and the situation!!! Onye nzuzu!!

This sad story is true. The husband fired the first shot for one igbo forum and the wife responded. Two families has gone down the drain.

This was happening while I was in Nigeria. Additionally, Mrs. Okechukwu h ad confronted her on many occasions over the phone and even sent people to warn her to stay away from her husband. On December 16, 2006, at a birthday party Dr. Okechukwu had organized for one of his illegitimate children, Rose Nnawuihe danced close together (wholesale) with Dr. Okechukwu throughout the evening.

This story is VERY True. The lady used to attend the same church my mother attends in Dallas. My mother heard about the women's situation outside of the web. She is just defending herself because her husband is making accusations in Dallas.
