Seriously Tchidi graduated from school as a English major; you're not kidding.

In a million years i wouldn't have thought so, his english doesn't sound close to a degree holder.:)

Waoh waiting to hear the album, of course everybody's first love is music, i can sing too.:bouncy

WTF, what the hell does he know how to sing???
Did you hear him sing in "Show Me Heaven"
It was like hearing constipated hiennnas howling on a full moon.
Are you kiddding me

and talk about english. i doubt this guy finished secondary school. He cant speak the english language to save his life. Watch him in his several movies with his tons of grammatical error, the last movie i watched with him was his Show Me Heaven (referring to a lady as HIM), and what kills me is when he tries to slang, thats like the worsesweat:

Maybe he is mathematically bright academically but puhleese dont say he has an english major, thats just too funny

if he cant speak it then dont spoil the language, afterall that is not his first language. He should speak igbo and save us all the headache of grammatical errors sweat: Drop the fake slang, makes me cringe.:1087:

HOW DO U SPOIL THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE?
WHICH IS THE CORRECT VERSION?
THE ONE THEY SPEAK IN ENGLAND OR THE US?........
U LEAVE IN ENGLAND AND ACTUALLY KNOW HOW THEY TALK?

AND WHICH TCHIDI CHIKERE SPEAK SLANGS??..... I BET WE MUST BE TALKING ABOUT ANOTHER ONE, DEFINITELY NOT THE NOLLYWOOD CHIKERE

As Khami stated earlier, writing and speaking English are two different things. It's possible he's a good writer but not a perfect or eloquent speaker.
Btw, I thought most universities assess students by giving exams or courseworks (assignments). The assessments are usually based on written work not oral work. So it's not impossible for him to have a degree in English.

In addition, English is not the man's first language so he can be excused for making a few mistakes. No one is perfect and that's a fact.

Glad you asked the question Mr Khami and i will gladly answer you.

First of all i LIVED in England, not LEAVE in england.
And thats my whole point. NObody is talking about Tchidi English ACCENT sweat:-i'd much rather he speaks with his pure naija english accent or igbo than throw in nonsense american slangs like "U know whattaam saying" blah blah blah. It doesnt even sound right - thats so unnecessary. Just be yourself for goodness sake, and this is to the many nollywood actors who fake it. Maybe the local naija's might buy it, but we wont. I am no english major (UNLIKE TCHIDI - supposedly sweat:) but We know and hear fake accent and wrong grammar when we hear it.

Back to the original question you asked " How do you spoil the english language" Answer: You spoil the english language, and confuse everybody when you are referring to a female as HE and HIM.sweat: To name a few sweat:That is what we are talking about. Maybe he needs to take lessons for Uncle Olu - genuine use of the english - correct GRAMMAR- no fakeness.

And the new phenom for 2007 in nollywood movies. For the love of God, lets continue to showcase our african names and drop the Falerie (as in Valerie), Falem-times (as in Valentine), The Beyonce, The Ciara - its so not necessary. IT IS NOT BY FORCE. AH AH.

That is why i will forever swear by my village movie. Love it forever.
No fakeness, when they get to stages they know they are struggling they just throw in their igbo lines and call it a day sweat: (and from that alone i have learnt a few igbo words). Chinny Aheneku in Alice my First Lady, did it best.

BE YOUR SELF AFRICAN MOVIES - BE YOURSELVES. CARVE YOUR OWN NICHE.

He is definately excused from making mistakes we all do, but my whole point is STOP FAKING, STOP PRETENDING - BE YOUR SELF

At first it was Chikere's acting that people were criticising and I must admit that I did criticise him myself. Then people (me included) criticised his wife for being a poor actress. But now people are also critising his grammar and his accent which I do not understand the motive for this particular criticism. Surprised I think not.
