all i am saying is he didnt pull me into his character, Call me critical, but personally ,, you have to pull me in to your character for me to believe it. I just didnt, but i am glad he was given the chance, I am not saying he should be typecasted to gang bang. He could play anything else, i dont care. Bottom line is make it believable.

Was Lou Gossett Believable in his role in Officer and Gentle man - hell yeah.
Was Tyrese believable - hell to the No. I tell it like it is.

Why do you think i love Genny so much, she pulls u into her character and make it believable. U understand whattamsaying.

not in the theatre, apart from the previews on tv,and what not, i watched the bootleg in my friends house on Sunday, but didnt finish and left after the first 30mins. You think i should go see the whole thing in the theatre b4 i judge. Ok, maybe i should. I will, i like Tyrese and will support him with my $9.50:teu26: If i will support Sanaa this Friday - i will Tyrese too.

How did it do in the box office though.

Hmmm now that got me thinking-really what really good movie had she done before that debacle anyways...me thinks she was just the lucky poster girl for a black actress winning an oscar. This woman, Angela Bassett, now she should have won that year, they all knew it but hollywood was not quite ready yet to give an Oscar to whom it was due just cos the rightful recipient happens be black. So now when their minds are open enough to give an oscar to a black woman, they look around and aha! Halle is prolly the only one with a movie out that year and presto...:redface

Yep, Tempest from the Cosby show was in a talk show which use to run at 11am but I cannot remember what channel. I will not be surprised if it was UPN. I watched the show a couple of times. My heart kept beating for her as I knew the show was not going to last. And sure enough it didn't.
