Does not mean the marriage is going to last, though. The more elaborate the marriage proposals, the quicker they end.

LOL, I said to Caroline Wozniacki yesterday on twitter, is this a marriage proposal or a mini wedding ceremony? I don't like it at all. This is way too elaborate to be a cute proposal. The basic rule of proposal is: keep it simple, sweet, and spontaneous. No need for all those unnecessary details.

But if you 'speech' a gal in that manner she go love you for 99 lives! Confess... it was sweet though?!

OK but what would he do for an encore?

If his proposal is this detailed and thorough, what is he gonna do for the wedding?

She said 'Yes' so no encore needed. And for the wedding day all he has to do is not get too drunk the night before and... 'wed' her... it's all she wants on the day... to become 'Mrs'.

It looks pretty cool to me. And who wrote rules for proposals? The elaborate preparation suggest how seriously he took it and the girl, doesn't it?

I thought the ladies would be swooning over this video... Not a single response from them.

Jokes apart, I also thought the women and women-to-be for flood this thread with swoons!

It was cute and really really sweet. I would be happy and embarrassed and really really flattered all at the same time. I like the gesture, a lot of thought and choreography went into it and the song was perfect. It really is cute. Would I want someone to do this for me? I..I don't know but I'm not turning it down. I would appreciate it, I wouldn't want a boring traditional proposal, spice it up a bit.

This shows great creativity on the part of the guy. Absolutely nothing wrong with that. It doesn't make it better than any other proposal, but a fun memorable event for the couple. The way you propose has no bearing on how the marriage will do, so what does it matter if it seems too elaborate today.

I have heard that comment before "How do you top it?"... Who says you have to? Enjoy the moment for what it is. It's like saying don't attempt to make the best movie you have ever done, because how do you top yourself after that....... For this couple, today it is an elaborate proposal, tomorrow, it is a candle light dinner on the lawn in the backyard.... It is the creativity of the proposal that should be celebrated.

If she is the type of woman that expects each event to be better than the last, then there is something wrong with her perspective on life. And that will affect their lives in many more ways far beyond this proposal. Hell, you may not get the chance to top yourself... Show the ones you love how much you love them everyday! No matter how big or small.....

    Tomorrow is not promised...

Try to live each day like tomorrow will not come.

Just to add... a couple of years ago I posted what the Indians with money were having made as their 'wedding videos' (unfortunately I can't find what that thread was)... Dude, you want an encore??? Watch what eye-popping stuff these guys do... Remember Indian people be like we Naija and they started bashing out these wedding mini-movies as 'bragging rights'... I still darn well love the videos. (remember na Bride and groom dey act in these 'films' and they even show them in cinemas for their wedding guests!)

Dil Jaanta Hai (The Heart Knows) - 11min wedding movie

Flawless - 2min wedding film trailer

City of Lakes - Pretty much the 1st half-hour featurette that killed everything out there!

Whateva!:fing05: I still maintain that that was too detailed and too meticulous to be romantic. I have no problem with being creative but keep it simple and spontaneous. Wait, lemme show you romantic:

she came to visit me, we hadnt seen each other in a bit. she walked in, dropped her bags and jumped on me. it was a passionate kiss..lol..i didnt even have time to tell her i missed her. she pushed me to the ground and made me watch as she undressed, i have never been so turned on...
she stood over me with nothing but her purple boyshorts on. she bent down to kiss me and walk to washroom without saying a word. i sat on the floor for about a minute b4 i realized how stupid i was. a hot sexy half nekkid chic was in the washroom and i was here...

Now, compare that with all those thorough planning....putting flowers on the bed, candle lit dinners etc

PS: This is just a made up story, so y'all shud get una minds outta gutta:excite
