I agree that he's done a lot of good, but he has yet to admit killing the other 2 people, he vehemently denied killing the 3rd person, however, has failed to confess the other 2. That's the one I just can't get past, I think it'll be important for the families of the victims for him to admit and apologize. Regardless of what he has done, he's killed at least 2 people, he needs to chuck it up, take his punishment or sentence accordingly and let God redeem him in the afterlife.

My sister, that's taking a lot more of our tax dollars to keep him there. My main beef is that he has not admitted his crimes and asked for forgiveness. If he does that, I may have a different angle on it. You know, God looks at our hearts even BEFORE our deeds. He acknowledges what comes from the heart. Right now, he's still trying to save his life, thus not making ammends in the most simple way by reaching out the familes of the victims.

the man has changed incredibly and he deserves another chance, am not quite sure of my look of death penalty but it depends, if we are talking serial killers who killed lets say 8 to above they might die but not someone like tookie that has changed before our eyes and he said he didn't commit the crime and the thing that hurts the most is that ppl are judging him on the gang he started and not the real case at hand, the finger and foot prints found at the killing place wasn't his and they took away the black juries on the case and all that. let to me i will let him be and he said if he lives he will try to stop all this gang things going on. i heard him on bet, he sounded really depressed and it was really sad, i can't imagine knowing your life depends on a man now and you might die in the next one week. and not to talk of he was nominated for 5 nobel prices. hopefully the governor will know what is right and spare his life.

So what type of clemency do you see as befitting? BTW, he said he did not kill ONE of the 3 people and he's not come out to say anything about the other two, that's my point. BTW, you think EIGHT has to be killed to be trialed as a serial killer? Hmmm!!!! That's food for thought.

There is no saying he is not changed and all that but he has to suffer for his sins, if we start with this trend of giving him life then our prisons will be overfull. I am sorry but that is the way it is he will be remembered for his good works

In addition to all that, what about the people who REALLY deserve clemency? the ones that aren't guilty of any crime and have been wrongly convicted? I just feel that all his good works should not automatically gurantee clemency. 6 nods for Nobel Peace, yeah, it's all good, childrens' books, hey way to go, nevertheless, FOUR people were murdered and it'll take a bit more then a few celebs and politicians to erase his destiny. This is his wordly destiny, The Almighty will reward him for his good works when he reaches heaven, Abi? Let's not forget, he has yet to admit guilt!!! Even Jesus says one has to confess one's sins and atone before full grace can be granted.

why would he admit guilt if he is innocent?

Eyaaaah! Why cant they just forgive him? Killing him wont bring back the dead ones.

And what if he is innocent like he said?

Exactly my point my sister. There is very little forgiveness in this world.

But at least justice will be done. Who ever takes the life of another person, should loose his or her own life. :cool-smil
