Don't I love the americans? look at how pragmatic they are in solving problems. using all the available human and financial resources at their disposal to curb a "menace". in Ghana a programme was drawn to fight mosquitoes. the programme was based solely on the use of "impregnated mosquito nets" and the use of a pharmacological approach? What ever happened to the ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH THE MOSQUITOES BREED? Absolutely no environmental component? Where is the human element and community action? the govt still constructs open gutters. in some communities no gutters at all, and this leaves stagnant waters all around breeding mosquitoes. we have been fighting mosquitoes from time immemorial, and it is funny no one in the health ministry has come up with anything on restructuring our environments/communities where the mosquitoes spring up. haba!!
