:fam14:Written and Directed by Tchidi Chikere:fam14:

I haven't watched it yet but the synopsis on the back is as follows:

Homeless and wrongly accused of theft Christine takes her children to live in the wilderness where they discovr the true meaning of suffering.

It stars Ini Edo and the big, round face woman (what is her name?) who played Osuofia's wife in Osuofia in London

    Where oceans touch.

    MOVIE TITLE: WHERE OCEAN TOUCH
WRITTEN AND DIRECTED BY: T CHIDI CHIKERE
    STARS: INI EDO, LINC EDOCHIE

Synopsis: A young woman Christy (Ini Edo) is trapped in a theft scandal in her place of work and even though she is innocent she is wrongly accused and evicted from her home and with so many bag of lies she tells her children they move into a small hut in the wilderness and they learn the real meaning of suffering. Even in the tough situation she is still keen on giving her kids the best and protecting their interest.

My opinion: I fell in love with the story line but the wilderness part was over-exaggerated, they made it look like she didn't have much savings, had no friends or neighbors to turn to, its not such a pretty decision to make no matter how worse the condition is...i don't think packing your family to live in the wilderness all cos u lost your job and house. What about sleeping in the church? It just seemed conceited to me and the whole lieying to her children that the wilderness was a family reality show they were partaking in. But its an average movie, not bad, expected more though.

Am loving it, loved everything about the movie, the acting the storyline and everything is quite different from the usual nollywood stuff. different storyline it shows us the hard way of life, the bitter reality. I know some of you think the wilderness part was overrated but think about it sha, when situation like that occurs what will you do, who will you turn to, Forget about friends and families can be pain in the eyes to live with, they will want money form you up keep of the house, even if they are willing to help you how long will that last for, they will probaly ask you to leave their house,
they will even mock your condition, especially in christy own case she was accused of something she did not even do, who is going to believe her.

You know how people are. Outstanding acting from ini edo, good storyline. Loved every part of this beautiful movie, very realistic movie. I rate it 8.9/10

WRITTEN AND DIRECTED BY: T CHIDI CHIKERE YOU SOOOO GOOD KEEP UP THE GOOD JOB.

The Wilderness was where they discover the true meaning of suffering. Sad movie especially the part 2 it was so emotional I loved the movie I can watch it over again. The movie brought tears to my eyes what a single mother will go through with her children, it was'nt easy, especially when ini daughter was ill from drinking a water that was contiminated, her tears seem so real. Ini and her children pulled the movie for me, It a must watch this are the kind of movie you will buy don't rent it out, get a copy because it a must watch. I so glad that I have a copy. :mrstraetz

I liked it a lot. The woman who lied about the theft is a very good actress. The reason that she stole the money was a story in itself - older women and young suitors.
Ini was not in the "wilderness." A man told her about a place just outside of town where she could stay in peace - peri urban; and a Hausa man built her some tents made out of grass. It was closer to camping for me than the wilderness. The kids continued to go to school in their old school, as it was a good walking distance from where they lilved.
I thought it was better solution than the usual stories that we see of destitute people in the city being abused, and preyed on by armed robbers. With that harsh element taken away, Tchidi could proceed with the storytelling, which was very good, as usual. It is very much worth a watch.

Seriously. Am I in a twilight zone? story line? acting? not the usual nollywood stuff? Nollywood is really in trouble!
