OHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHH!!
OK, so most people i know cook green leafy vegetables and then pour away the water/stock/broth which has all the nutrients!!!!
a friend of mine cooked collards and when I asked her what we were gonna do with the broth she looked at me said "it's going down the drain!"
but friend, that's where all the nutritional value of this green is. you might as well give me chopped cardboard for all the nutritional value we're gonna serve the kids.
i put some of the water on my rice and she was looking at me like i'd lost my mind.
so...when you cook veggies, what do you do? throw the water out? or use it to cook something else? or do you believe you still have the nutirtional value after boiling/cooking?
