An autopsy can occur within 24 hours when the cause of death can be determined. In cases where blood work is involved such as toxicology reports those may take a few weeks or longer, it has to do with the manner of death and circumstances involved. Goldie's autopsy was conducted at The Department of Pathology and Forensic Medicine of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital on 2/19/13

Not in this case though. She was a very young woman that died all of a sudden. Those are usually more thorough. If the person was sick with cancer for a while then that can easily be determined. If someone gets hit by a car then that also can be easily determined. A 26 year old that just dies like that usually will include blood work and many other things.

Not in this case because she was young :confused: Call the hospital and ask them to verify the autopsy

Goldie Harvey for Burial Today

The remains of late Susan 'Goldie' Harvey will be laid to rest today at the Vaults & Gardens private burial ground located at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) Close, Off Federal Secretariat Road, Ikoyi, Lagos Island, Lagos, Nigeria.

The family says the burial will commence at 10am today and will be only for close family members and business associates. It will be strictly by invitation

Goldie was pronounced dead on Valentine's Day, Thursday, February 14, 2013 after she was rushed to Reddington Hospital, V.I, Lagos, hours after she returned from Los Angeles where she attended the Grammys.

An autopsy report released last week confirmed she died of hypertensive heart disease

In USA here, Abike, you know a detailed minute-by-minute account of her last hour would be required by the public! How did she die in his hands? What happened?4
Denrele himself needs counseling because it must be a traumatic experience to lose his friend in his arms.

@ Ssergit, I understand the need for a detailed autopsy and also knowing what happened that lead to her death, I mean we see all those Dateline NBC/2020 shows all the time...

But my comment was more related to her marital life, and it sounded like the writer was condemning her (in death) for keeping that part of her life private (something she had a right to do!)

I think its people who probably didnt like Denrele to begin with, or folks who questioned their friendship...

The guy looked distraught in pictures... ! :(

i've not been following this story except for what i have read on this thread.
it just struck me as odd that they would go after him if they've done an autopsy and concluded that she died of hypertension.

I feel you. The marital secrecy is really freaking people out, especially with the stories of her and Prezzo and BBA. But, it is her life! If her hubby understood, why are people tearing shirts??

Also, I feel the initial tabloid news of her overdosing on drugs is giving rise to the attention on Denrele now. People may be skeptical of the autopsy result, but I dont see such a hospital taking the risk of ruining their reputation. Besides she was not cremated, so, its not like evidences of any foul play is being 'hidden'. They should give this girl a break and allow her family to mourn her in peace.
Secret or open wedding, what matters is the man and woman being happy BEHIND their closed doors!

So what if she was kissing prezzo in public? There are couples who swing! Others have open marriages etc etc....to each to whatever makes them happy. Goldie was happy! She had a full wedding, in wedding dress and all. She did not have a drive-by las Vegas wedding! People that matterd to her - friends and family KNEW she was a married woman!
This whole thing tire me!

someone posted on facebook that Goldie's spirit should not rest in peace, that she should haunt her killers till they are caught.
Others responded to that post and I like that most comments told the writer to shut up and stop blaming any young celebrity's death on 'enemies of progress' and I agree!
People of all age, strata, walks of life etc WILL DIE! All these blaming juju and evil people sometimes are taken too far! When people profess God and believe in His protection, they are kept safe. Sometimes too, HE lets people GO HOME! At whatever age! We cant ask HIM why! HE gave the life in the first place!

If all that kinda talk is really true, many of us would be dead by now!

God protects His own, and when HE sees that some people's work on earth is done, HE lets them return home! Simple. Enemies and haters or not! Babies dies, 99 year olds die!

the question is, did she have any h istory of hypertension before she died? if no, then there is a huge possiblity tht drugs may have caused her SUDDEN death. its no rocket science. Sad indeed.
