Yeah I remenber that (click here for clips) Bollywood film. I laughed a lot but their CGI was pretty good... at least compared to ours.
Well said... and it shouldn't be small boy job for any industry... 'Nollywood' take note! You wan try Bollywood? Those guys use high end FLAME compositing systems to do their compositing and special effects. CGI no be small boy job for that industry, my guy. They compete with Hollywood and not with Nollywood.
I've now seen District 9 and The Girl with the dragon tattoo...the original Swedish version that is.I haven't yet watched:

Same here...Gone with the wind...
Nice! What did you think of District 9 and I totally loved the Swedish version; have you seen all 3 of them? (The Girl Who Played With Fire + The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets' Nest)I've now seen District 9 and The Girl with the dragon tattoo...the original Swedish version that is.
I didn't like their depiction of Nigerians, and I wasn't too comfortable with the overt allusions to apartheid and segregation era America(as in the rounding up and segregation of the aliens...treating them as an undesirable underclass...I s'pose cos apartheid is stil;l fairoly recent history). Overall though...I liked the documentary format. I haven't seen the other 2 films in 'The Girl..' series. I'll keep 'em in mind for future reference.Nice! The depiction of the Nigerians in the film was hilarious; we all know it was so stupidly wrong but hey... someone has got to be the bad guy and in more and more films it's our 'turn'... look at films with Italian mobsters, Russian mafia, Japanese Yakuza and some weird unheard of East European places as terrorists people them... everyone of these groups of people has complained and it always falls on deaf ears... that's the whole fun of films... yab any persin you want to. (If we want it to 'stop' all we need to do is build nuclear weapons and threaten eferibodi and them go fear to yab us as they have chickened out over China).I didn't like their depiction of Nigerians, and I wasn't too comfortable with the overt allusions to apartheid and segregation era America(as in the rounding up and segregation of the aliens...treating them as an undesirable underclass...I s'pose cos apartheid is stil;l fairoly recent history). I s'pose I have become a bit too sensitive to the Naija bashing...which I never used to be and always shrugged it off! I guess I gotta get back tom thatn state of being. I'll try checking The Girl's tattoo....Maybe I be village persin pass una sef, but that girl's tattoo was a bit too much for my liking...:DThe depiction of the Nigerians in the film was hilarious; we all know it was so stupidly wrong but hey... someone has got to be the bad guy and in more and more films it's our 'turn'... look at films with Italian mobsters, Russian mafia, Japanese Yakuza and some weird unheard of East European places as terrorists people them... everyone of these groups of people has complained and it always falls on deaf ears... that's the whole fun of films... yab any persin you want to. Such depictions do not bother me nor am I patriotic. Look at Niaja ponlice wey dey complain say Nollywood paints them in a bad light... no be their fault are they not crap & criminals?
Ooh, please do watch 'The Girl' series... brilliantly gritty stuff.
Loved District 9, liked the originality of a somewhat overdone subject in movies, Aliens....
Another cool Alien movie is "Attack the Block"...I'm surprised too many people haven't seen it...maybe because nah Britico film...

Have you tried the original Swedish version(2009) rather than the Hollywood version(2011) ?The Naija depiction no bother me...like you said na our turn...every ethnic group gets slammed in western movies...
They have the girl series for streaming on Netflix, I've been putting it off for a while now, tried watching the first one, Dragon tattoo but got bored 1/3 of the way through...I'll try it again.
I quite liked titanic...but I get what you mean cos I find overhyping a turn off myself. But you might like it, sometimes these films are even better than the hype.Haven't watched 'Titanic'...too much hype about a film puts me off!

Until recently I hadn't seen the Godfather....now I that have, I can't wait to see the sequels.
You're denying yourself the pleasure of a good movie. Sometimes, the movie is actually deserving of the hype. Give it a chance.Haven't watched 'Titanic'...too much hype about a film puts me off!
