You didn't enjoy the thread? I think we all generally agreed Shuga is a brilliant show and had a healthy debate. The audience has every right to bash anything they want to be honest. Have you never gone "Hmmm I don't like that song" or "I don't likle that film" - nothing wrong with that. See the amount of bashing 'Titanic' got. The audience doesn't have to go out and shoot something 'better' than Titanic, infact they don't have to even shoot anything because they bashed a film... they are consumers. If I go to a restaurant and my food is crap and maybe has a spider in it; I'll shout about it but I won't be going into their kitchen.Wow! you guys just killed what would have been a riveting thread with your strutting around like overfed peacocks spewing your knowledge of what is excellent production and all that jazz.
Shuga is what it is, it was very interesting, i didnt miss any episode on HiTV UK.
I keep seeing all these threads bashing Nigerian movies on the script, production, camera, continuity and what have you. Some of you here are very good at giving criticism, but what's needed is for someone to step up to the plate and produce something better than what you bash here. Maybe when you get into it proper, you'd appreciate the frustrations the nig producers face and yet produce movies that are still watchable and riveting. Just do something and stop with the criticism.
Yes it is very difficult making anything, talkless of making a 'good' film... not just in Nigeria. Debate is healthy, don't worry or vex too much about it. People do generally try to be constructive, there will always be can-never-be-pleased persons but such if life.
Anyway where you been hiding? How bodi now??
