Looks cool. I tend to have problems with that tiny edit screen taking up part of the monitor real estate in any NLE system. Unless you have one of those huge and expensive ones of course.

I find in nigeria that the editors just fill the monitor screen with the timeline and other tools, and use an external monitor to edit. It works perfectly. They say it allows them to properly monitor the sound and video as well.

Actually,this particular 2 systems use a 24 inch widescreen monitor for editing,so there is enough real estate for editing.The GUI is designed for a single screen operation.
Most NLE users(professionals) prefer the double monitor use to get more real estate and actually it is most recommended.Which means that three monitors are used.Two computer monitors for editing and a video monitor for image evaluation.I don't really get the arrangement you just described.What type of monitor do they use for editing?

It depends on the studio. Some use professional studi monitors that will truthfully display colors. But most use the off-the-shelf monitors patched to the video out jack of the capture/video card, again depending on the setup. I will post some pictures of a couple of studios.

You do that.I want to see what editing set up the studios in naija use.
Talking about professional video monitors,they are the best for colour evaluation of images,although pricey.I will put some link of Sony studio monitors on here with the prices.
