ah-ah, MW! you know i'm not that heavy on the Nollywood scene, nah!

i probably watch not more than 5 or 6 Nigerian movies in any given year!

i did try to find White Waters for a while, though... oddly enough, i couldn't find it in any stores i checked out.

i'll take another look...


anything else you recommend, or otherwise want to hear my take on?

(i think i want to write a full review of The Rivals... i have a lot of thoughts on it, but i kinda don't expect that many people to care since so few have seen it.)

Try and get white waters and lets see what you think. I am dying to see ur honest review. The Rivals is old but you never can tell, your full review could spur on so many comments, at least lets start with me. Post it kwik kwik and then lets bother after that whether people care or not.

cool... i'll see if i can get it this weekend.

do you recommend Letters to a Stranger too? that's one i've been seeing around for ages and have been hearing great things about too... but i am somewhat reluctant to check it out because... well, i'm usually hesitant to watch Genny movies because i generally find her boring.

(sorry, Genny Voltron Squad... like i always say: i'm not hating, just stating)

Would be nice to know what you think about LTAS too since many people including me think its a good movie at least better thank what is obtainable but LTAS worked for me more in screen play department than anywhere else but then would love to know what you think so here we go:

Yep, me likes too. It had a stage-like quality to it and oddly enough, I liked that. The costumes were really nice and Desmond has this really innate charm that was very evident here especially whenever he smiled in scenes with Kate Henshaw

That just gave me warning bells right there, but I'll try and watch it before further comment......A movie that gives off a stage vibe is already a no no for me, but I go watch am

Na wa. Typical Naijarules thingy: I loved it . . . great work . . . 9/10 . . . I hate it . . . it sucks . . . don't know what all the hype is on . . .3/10 jor etc, etc.

My two cents. About the stiff voice thing. I read somewhere, can't quite recall, where Blessing said that in the course of production, something happened to the voice/audio aspect and they had to do away with the original audio, get the players back into the studio to read their parts after which it was merged again with the video. I don't know whether Ive been able to convey it the way she did, but that's about what she said and that may account for the stiffness or stagelike quality of their voices.

ummm... no. that does not explain the wooden acting, or the stilted dialogue.

and by the way, i don't understand why you are complaining about people expressing their opinions on movies when, in fact, that is what this particular forum exists for.

Complain? No, no, dont' misunderstand me. I do criticise movies o. I am not complaining just musing about how different our opinions on Naijarules can be, in fact sometimes in too different extremes as one person says "great work" and another says "utter trash".

A VERY HAPPY 2013 TO EVERY NAIJARULER!!!!
MAY THIS YEAR BE BETTER IN EVERY WAY THAN ALL THE YEARS YOU HAVE YET SEEN.
