As it says in the title, this is for Yoruba rap music/Yoruba hip hop music. This is where the lyrics are rapped entirely or mainly in the Yoruba language. I don't know how old Yoruba language rap is, however I recall the late Yoruba comedian/MC, Alhaji Pastor Oluwo, Gbenga Adeboye performing a comedic Yoruba rap many years ago. I haven't found it on youtube yet, though. I also recall the late fuji music maestro, Alhaji Ayinde Barrister, performing a satirical mixed Yoruba/English language rap in one of his tunes. Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde Anifowoshe, another5 fuji exponent did a similar thing, again I have am yet to locate it on youtube.

Also, I consider Yoruba language rap to be part of Orature(Oral Literature), alongside things like 'Ewi', 'Oriki', 'Rara' etc.

Now, enough of the spiel and onto some sick, dope lyrics and banging, phat jams!!!
